Weekly Anime Recommendation: Ghost Hunt

For this weeks recommendation I decided one of my favourites would be a good idea, so I chose Ghost Hunt.

Synopsis: The story is made up of different arcs following Mai, our lead gal, joining a paranormal investigation along side the other characters. They continue solving and removing the presence of paranormal creatures.

I bet you're all looking like this right now. It sounds quite boring and uninteresting but let me tell YOU. 

Ghost Hunt is one of the best horror anime I have ever seen. I was afraid of the ghosts and I'm not one to get scared by the paranormal especially not anime versions but this gave me chills. 

Fear also wasn't the only emotion I was feeling. There were moments that touched my cold dead heart, I mean I almost cried, but there were also moments that had me giggling like it was all I knew how to do.

The characters are, for the majority of the time, really funny and interesting. You have a good range from a monk, who doesn't act monkly, to an adorable Australian priest. The characters are all deep and developed with back stories. 

In one arc (if you watch you may understand what I mean) Mai gets a bit frustrating but she does improve. In fact she became one of my favourite characters in the show (after Monk)

So we have lovable characters, great story lines, shocking revelations, some real scary stuff (not those dumb jump scares), and even a little romance... so why didn't we get season two and why does no one talk about this anime... honestly, I have no clue. Maybe it's because its been out for a while or maybe it didn't attract enough attention but it is really worth watching.

So dim the lights and be prepared to be scared because Ghost Hunt should definitely be on your to watch list.
