Anime Recommendation of the Week: Interviews with Monster Girls

So I've just started this blog mainly with the idea of recommending and reviewing anime. You can as me to watch or recommend anime you enjoy and look out for new anime suggestions, hopefully every week.

The first anime I am reviewing is Interviews with Monster girls

Watched on: Crunchyroll

Number of episodes: 12

Original creator: Petosu

Genre(s): Supernatural, Comedy

Synopsis: Tetsuo Takahashi, a teacher working at Shibasaki High School, loves to study the physiology of demi-humans. The demi-humans he work with are Hikari Takanashi, a very hyper vampire; Kyōko Machi, a dullahan who loves hugs; and Yuki Kusakabe, a snow woman who is timid to begin with; and math teacher Sakie Satō, a succubus who hides her charms.

Initially, I didn't want to watch this anime, mainly because the title put me off. I wasn't sure what to expect and it didn't sound like something I'd personally enjoy but after watching AkiDearest's Video I decided to give it a try and I was so glad I did.

The overall show is fun and light hearted. There are no real dark moments and it isn't dramatic which means it's good if all you want is comic relief.

The characters are funny and different. Even the background characters are well developed to the point where I enjoyed the side characters as much as the main characters. You may find they fit to the regular templates but they all have some thing unique that sets them apart from characters from other anime.

The art is also magnificent. The characters look so pretty to a point where I would watch it just to see the animation and nothing else. It would probably get boring after a while though.

Sadly I do have a negative point. As you sometimes find with comedies, the anime feels like it lacks a plot to me personally. It felt like someone showed me all the filler episodes of an anime. There was no real destination. Luckily for me I enjoy filler episodes.

Personally, I really enjoyed Interviews with Monster Girls. What did you think of it? Tell me in the comments.
